UEC IT implements UEC OFS at Dunkirk Specialty Steel, LLC

Pittsburgh, April 29, 2002 - UEC IT, a unit of USX Engineers & Consultants Inc., announced today that Universal Stainless and Alloy Products, Inc. (Nasdaq: USAP), has implemented the UEC Order Fulfillment System (UEC OFS), a metals industry specific order fulfillment system, at Dunkirk Specialty Steel, LLC, its wholly-owned subsidiary located in Dunkirk, NY. The Dunkirk implementation follows the implementation of UEC OFS at Universal's Bridgeville, PA and Titusville, PA facilities.

UEC OFS allows each facility of Universal Stainless the ability to efficiently and accurately manage customer orders and inventory levels, answer customer inquiries on a timely basis, and control testing and quality control activities.
